Science applied to art

Scientific training requiring
a working knowledge of chemistry has helped Peggy to reproduce natural,
lifelike colors and textures. The
patina is created by placing a wide variety of chemicals on the bronze to affect the
surface. There are dozens of different chemical mixtures that are sometimes applied cold,
sometimes heated, and watched so that the process is halted precisely when the desired
color is reached. |
