This piece is named for its proposed placement  on the grounds of Kevin Costner's  Tatanka - The Story of the Bison Center. 

"With these figures I wanted to convey the hunting and marksmanship skills that  Lakota warriors possess. With his quiver of arrows on his lap, his first arrow hits the bison bull in the shoulder, just inches from the kill zone. As his seasoned hunt pony turns from the bull's advance, the warrior will pull another arrow and gain  sustenance for his people."
