.I think most everyone’s favorite picture of the bison is when the orange colored little calves romp and play like little calves out in a farmer’s field.

One particular little guy who I followed around in Custer State Park was playing a game of billy goat gruff with the other calves, and then he would stop and scratch. He was only a few days old but his balance was so keen. He could support himself for several minutes while he scratched, never teetering off those three legs.
