.What most people see in bison is their fierce temperament and dangerous power. There are times in this animal’s life when they can be found coexisting with the other prairie inhabitants like the prong-horned antelope and deer.

I wanted to portray the bison’s quiet nature when not disturbed. Most of the bison sculpture I have seen show the bison with their immaculate fall coat but if one were to encounter bison in the spring, one would see just how mangy the shedding of their winter coat can appear.
